Six advance to state in AA shot put

On Thursday, McDowell's Dan Kwiatkowski showed at the District 10 Class AAA championships that he will be a PIAA title contender in the shot put next week. He set the D-10 Class AAA record with a distance of 64 feet, 8 inches.
Today, District 10 showed that it's pretty good in the AA shot put as well. Six boys qualified today for next week's state meet by topping the qualifying standard of 50 feet, 3 inches.
Paul Yohman of Wilmington won the event with a throw of 52-11½.
Joining him at state will be Wilmington's Josh Falvo (52-5), Fort LeBoeuf's Josh Williams (51-1), Grove City's Greg Reiber (50-9¾), West Middlesex's Travis Wojtalik (50-9½) and George Junior's Josh Mitchell (50-6½).
