Top three AA seeds out at D-10 tennis

Fairview's Jonathan Knoll avenged the second-round loss of Class AA teammate Thomas Shuttleworth at Saturday's District 10 boys tennis tournament. Knoll, seeded eighth, upset second seed Corey Runyan of Hickory 8-3 in the quarterfinals.

Knoll's victory meant the tournament's top three seeds were eliminated before the best-of-three semifinals. He advanced to play either General McLane's Dan Mulligan or Brian Goda of Greenville.
