The top two finishers in each event from today's District 10 Class AA track and field championships automatically qualify for next week's PIAA meet.
Only the winner of each event at the District 10 Class AAA meet on Thursday automatically advanced to state.
In each meet, competitors who match or beat the predetermined state-qualifying standard for an event also qualify.
D-10 Class AA gets two automatic qualifiers because there are a significant amount of AA schools in D-10. The district has fewer Class AAA schools, so AAA gets only one automatic qualifier.
