John Trucilla turned in the first title for Cathedral Prep on Thursday when he won the javelin at the District 10 Class AAA track and field championships at Harbor Creek's Weitz Stadium.
Trucilla, who was seeded third entering the event, won with a season-high effort of 172 feet, 2 inches.
