Unseeded Tiger qualifies for D-10 final

Fairview's Jake Batchelor, unseeded for Saturday's District 10 Class AA boys singles tennis tournament, advanced to Monday's championship match.

Batchelor helped offset the second-round loss of top-ranked teammate Thomas Shuttleworth with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 victory over fifth-seeded Matt Kiser of Grove City.

It could be an all-Fairview final if teammate Johnathan Knoll prevails in the other semifinal. Knoll won the first set over Greenville's Brian Goda.

The AA and Class AAA finals will take place Monday at 3:30 p.m.
