Harbor Creek's Lauren Zarger continued her dominance of the distance events in the District 10 Class AA meet today.
Zarger swept the 1,600 meters and 3,200 meters for the third straight year.
She broke a 26-year-old record in District 10 Class AA in the 3,200 with a time of 10 minutes, 56.12 seconds. That topped the mark of 10:57.10 set by Northwestern's Alane Keefer in 1982. The state-qualifying mark is 11:35.00.
Zarger won the 1,600 today in 5:14.97.
She said that, for the third straight year, she will run only the 3,200 at the PIAA meet. She finished second at last year's meet.
