District 10's Class AAA teams highly regarded

If the Pennsylvania Football News preseason rankings are any indication, Class AAA could be the strongest class in District 10 this year.

When the PFN poll was released this week, Strong Vincent was ranked third and Cathedral Prep was ranked fourth in Class AAA.

Vincent, led by Division I prospect Deonte Flemings, advanced to the PIAA Class AAA semifinals last year before losing to eventual champion Thomas Jefferson. Thomas Jefferson enters the season as the No. 1 team, while District 2’s West Scranton is No. 2.

The pressure figures to be on Prep, which dropped from Class AAAA during the offseason. The Ramblers are expected to fare well in AAA, but they must deal with a difficult schedule that features McDowell, Vincent and several out-of-state schools.
