McLane home opener scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Kickoff for Friday’s Region 4 football game between North East and General McLane has been changed to 7:30 p.m. McLane athletic director Ken Walker said the delay was in lieu of a dedication ceremony for the new artificial turf installed at Linden Field.

The Lancers will play their home games on a synthetic grass called A-Turf. They are the seventh District 10 school that has switched to artificial turf since 2003.
