Varsity features Fall Sports Preview

High school football season opened last week, so now it’s time to turn our attention to the other fall sports. The Times-News published its 2008 Varsity District 10 Fall Sports Preview on Wednesday.

If it’s your favorite sport, we have it covered.

In boys soccer, the season should be interesting because of the graduation of many standouts. The girls soccer season is highlighted by an experienced and talented Fairview team. Check out the boys and girls team-by-team outlooks.

Defending PIAA Class AA champion North East is the headliner in boys cross country. Harbor Creek star Lauren Zarger and her quest for PIAA title will garner much of the attention this fall in girls cross country. Click here for boys and girls team-by-team outlooks.
