Wildcats back in win column

The Northwestern football team ended a 15-game losing streak with last Friday's 16-6 victory over Reynolds. The Wildcats last won Sept. 29, 2006, when they topped Meadville 20-7 at Albion.

The win also came in Aaron Shaw's debut as Northwestern's coach. Shaw took over for Jamie Cipalla, who resigned after five seasons.

Fairview visits Northwestern on Friday in the first Region 4 game for both teams. Kickoff at Rogers Field is 7 p.m.
