At least one undefeated team will fall

Five unbeaten football teams remain in District 10, but at least one of them will lose this weekend.

Of course, one of them already has won. Defending District 10 Class AAA champion Strong Vincent (6-0) routed Corry 47-0 Thursday night at Howard Sheen Field. The Colonels are ranked No. 1 in the state by the Pennsylvania Football News and No. 2 by the Harrisburg Patriot-News.

In New Wilmington, Class AA powers Sharon and Wilmington will play today at 7 p.m. Both teams are 5-0 overall and are in a tie for first place in Region 3 at 3-0. Wilmington is ranked No. 9 in the latest PA Football News poll and No. 5 in the Harrisburg Patriot-News poll, while Sharon is among the teams to watch for both.

Also in AA, Fairview (4-0 overall, 3-0 Region 4) will host first-place North East at Keck Field today at 7 p.m. The Tigers are among the teams to watch for AA in the Harrisburg Patriot-News poll.

In Class A, Saegertown (5-0) will travel to Bears Stadium to take on Union City today at 7 p.m. The Panthers have won every game by at least 33 points this season and are ranked No. 10 by the PA Football News and are a team to watch in the Harrisburg Patriot-News poll.
