Colonels set team, individual marks in girls soccer win

It’s so far, so good for Project Playoffs.

The Strong Vincent girls soccer team remains on target for a District 10 Class AAA berth. The Colonels improved to 9-3 overall and 7-2 in Region 4 with a 7-1 victory over East on Monday at Veterans Stadium.

While Vincent aspires to reach the postseason, Morgyn Patterson reached an individual milestone in that game. The junior forward scored four times against the Warriors, which included her 100th career goal.

Coached by Mike Romeo, the Colonels also set a record with their ninth win in a season. They’ll try to crack double digits in the victory column when they play McDowell on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Vet.
