Harbor Creek, Hickory ADs will share D-10 track duties

Harbor Creek athletic director Andy Krahe and Hickory AD Barb Dzuricsko have been named co-directors for the District 10 track and field meets. District chairman Wally Blucas made the announcement during the district’s committee meeting last Friday at Conneaut Lake.

Dzuricsko and Krahe take over the position previously held by Gus Picardo, the Erie School District athletic consultant. Picardo will retain his roles as the district’s vice chairman and treasurer.

Hickory has hosted the district’s Class AA meet in recent seasons, while Harbor Creek has hosted the Class AAA meet.

Blucas also announced that District 8, the Pittsburgh City League, won’t advance a representative into the PIAA Class AAAA football tournament. That decision means the WPIAL champion will play either District 10's McDowell, the District 6 or the District 9 winner in the PIAA quarterfinals the weekend of Nov. 28.
