Extra: Get your live playoff highlights

For all District 10 sports fans, the Varsity blog is your headquarters for postseason play.

We'll be following all of this weekend's District 10 and PIAA postseason play with live updates on the blog.

Here's what you can look forward to:

Friday: District 10 football takes center stage as the Class AAA and Class A playoffs open. However, this week's Friday Night Highlights comes with a twist. The live blog will appear on the home page of GoErie.com in addition to the Varsity blog.

In Class AAA, we'll be closely following the Strong Vincent-Meadville game at Veterans Stadium and we'll offer regular updates from the Cathedral Prep-Grove City game at Slippery Rock University.

In Class A, we'll focus on the Farrell-Union City and Cambridge Springs-Linesville games while also providing updates from the Saegertown-Sharpsville and Mercer-Iroquois games.

In addition, we'll update you on the progress of the General McLane and Maplewood girls volleyball teams as they open PIAA pool play at Central York High School.

Saturday: Join us here early in the morning for Saturday Morning Quarterback as we recap Friday's action and look ahead to Saturday's four Class AA playoff games.

In afternoon, we'll be tracking the Fairview-Sharon football game. In addition, we will have a reporter at the Fairview and McDowell girls soccer games who will provide live updates from Grove City High School.

We'll also continue to supply PIAA volleyball updates as they become available.

Finally, on Saturday night, we'll provide live highlights from three Class AA games: North East-Slippery Rock, General McLane-Greenville and Wilmington-Girard.

Sunday: Don't forget to join us Sunday morning for our Saturday Morning Quarterback Sunday Update. We'll look back at Saturday's games and look ahead to the next round of the playoffs.

Make GoErie.com and the Varsity blog your home for the District 10 and PIAA postseason.
