The McDowell football team knows it's going to play DuBois on Nov. 15 in a PIAA Class AAAA subregional game.
The Trojans, however, don't yet know where they'll be playing that game. The game will be played at a District 10 site -- most likely Veterans Stadium or Gus Anderson Field -- to be determined.
McDowell (7-3), ranked No. 7 in the state by the Harrisburg Patriot-News is coming off a 42-28 victory over Bishop McDevitt in its regular-season finale. McDevitt was ranked No. 2 in the state for much of the season before losing to State College 20-19 Oct. 25.
DuBois will enter the playoffs with a 5-5 record after losing its final three games of the regular season. The Beavers have played two District 10 teams this season, losing to Cathedral Prep 42-21 and Strong Vincent 39-0.
The winner of the McDowell-DuBois game will face the winner of the game between No. 8 State College (10-0) and Central Mountain (6-4). The team that wins the four-team subregional will face the WPIAL champion Nov. 28 or 29.
