The McDowell girls and boys soccer teams will play a doubleheader at Harbor Creek High School as part of Tuesday's opening action in the PIAA tournament. Each team qualified as District 10 Class AAA champions.
The McDowell girls will play Norwin at 5 p.m. at Paul J. Weitz Stadium. Norwin qualified as the third seed from District 7.
The McDowell boys will follow at 7. The Trojans, who upset Cathedral Prep 2-1 in overtime to win the district championship, will welcome WPIAL runner-up Fox Chapel.
Veterans Stadium will host another PIAA doubleheader.
The Fairview girls, the district's Class AA winners, take on District 7 third seed Deer Lakes at 5. Harbor Creek, the AA boys titlists, hosts another District 7 third seed in South Park.
Two other district teams that qualified for states will debut at Shaler High School.
The Fairview boys, who outlasted Mercyhurst Prep for the district's Class A championship, take on Seton LaSalle at 6 p.m. The Grove City boys, who lost to Harbor Creek in Saturday's AA final, challenge WPIAL winner Mars in the second game.
All winners will advance to Saturday's PIAA quarterfinals at sites and times to be determined.
