When the Strong Vincent football team meets Meadville in Friday's District 10 Class AAA semifinals, it will mark the second time in four seasons that the Colonels have played the same opponent in consecutive weeks.

Vincent's 2005 regular season concluded with a 37-34 victory over Franklin. A week later, the Colonels advanced to the district championship game with a wild 60-33 win over the Knights.

Last Friday, Vincent capped its 10-0 regular season with a 42-6 victory over Meadville at Bender Field. Its rematch with the 6-4 Bulldogs is scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. at Veterans Stadium.
