Girard standout Raegan Moore, out with a concussion since Dec. 11, told the Erie Times-News Thursday that she has a doctor's appointment scheduled Friday. The YellowJackets' 1,000-point scorer was cautiously optimistic she'll be cleared to play in Saturday big Region 4 game against visiting Eisenhower.
Moore has been out of action since she suffered the concussion during Girard's 43-24 loss to Villa Maria at Penn State Behrend. The senior got her feet tangled on a play and struck her head on the Junker Center floor.
Eisenhower and Girard are both 5-1 overall heading into Saturday's 7:30 p.m. tipoff. The Knights were 3-0 in the region after Wednesday's 46-12 victory over Iroquois, while the 'Jackets were 2-1 thanks to a 59-19 rout of Youngsville.
