High School Hoops Hot List - Saturday

With adverse weather conditions affecting area boys basketball on Friday, here are five games that if you wouldn't have been able to see last night, you get a second chance today:
1. Corry at Central Tech 2:30 p.m.
2. General McLane at Girard, 3:30 p.m.
3. North East at Northwestern, 4:30 p.m.
4. Seneca at Mercyhurst Prep, 7:30 p.m.
5. East at Warren, 2:30 p.m.

Keep in mind: The Franklin at McDowell boys and Youngsville at Fairview girls games scheduled for today were postponed. The Eisenhower and Iroquois boys won't make up their game today, but will battle on Jan. 10 at 6 p.m.

Notes on Friday's action: Crawford County teams were able to play their games with a few surprises. ... The hot Meadville boys were cooled off by Slippery Rock's defense in a 55-35 Rockets win ... The Villa Maria boys moved within one half game of Cochranton and Titusville in Region 3 with a 47-26 victory over Cambridge Springs. ... Harbor Creek (4-0 overall, 1-0 Region 6) remained unbeaten with a 71-38 win over Fort LeBoeuf. ... Farrell is officially back in the middle of the Class AAA picture with a big 86-77 win over Region 5 foe Hickory. The Hornets had been one of the hottest teams in the district after starting the season with six straight wins.
