There was some solid games on Thursday night leading with a Region 4 girls battle between Girard and Villa Maria. The Victors handled the YellowJackets pressure defense to get the win, but Girard might have lost something more valuable than the game.

Raegan Moore, a 1,000-point scorer for the 'Jackets, had to be taken off the court on a stretcher after banging her head on the court.

The McDowell boys are really hitting their stride now with a solid 59-28 non-region win over Class AAA Girard. Jason Keim (13 points), Joe Letto (16), Dejon Young (10) all scored in double-digits for the Trojans.

Cathedral Prep picked up its second win with a tough 68-60 defeat of General McLane. RaSean Thrower made his season debut in a big way with 19 points including three consecutive 3-pointers for the Ramblers. He missed the first two games with an ankle injury.
