High School Hoops Hot List - Saturday

District 10 had four unbeaten basketball teams heading into Friday's action with that number being cut in half on Friday night.
The Harbor Creek boys were knocked off by General McLane 74-61 while the Reynolds boys lost in the final seconds to West Middlesex 46-45. There are officially no unbeaten boys teams left in D-10.
Here is a look at the two girls left with a perfect record:
1. General McLane (10-0) - The Lancers have been on a roll lately picking up three quality wins at the KSA tournament in Kissimmee, Florida before knocking off Class AAAA-power McDowell on Thursday 43-34. The Lancers' best win after the McDowell win is probably a 63-57 win against Slippery Rock in the Slippery Rock tip-off tournament championship. McLane, ranked No. 2 in District 10 and No. 10 in the state, will take on Pittsburgh's Perry today, and will have big tests at Corry on Jan. 15 and on Jan. 19 when Mercyhurst Prep heads to Edinboro. With two games left against the Lakers, Beavers and Huskies, coupled with games against Perry and Hollidaysburg, McLane will definitely earn its perfect season if the Lancers can make it to the postseason unscathed.
2. Reynolds (11-0) - The Raiders have had some solid wins this season but haven't faced a huge test yet. However, each game becomes increasingly tougher as Reynolds is now wearing a huge target on its back for being undefeated. The Raiders took care of business against West Middlesex Friday, but the previously unbeaten Reynolds boys were upset by the Big Reds. Reynolds, ranked No. 3 in D-10, will not leave Mercer County the rest of the regular season, but solid teams like Rocky Grove, Mercer and Wilmington can still pose a problem for the Raiders.
